The Blessing Way was awesome and Rowan and I are glowing with love. :) I'm so grateful for all of the support that has been offered and am hoping that it goes smoothly so that Rylan and I can just focus our attention on bonding with Rowan while all the day to day business of cooking, cleaning, laundry, dog walking and calling to tell people the good news is handled by others. Between you, Jess and Lorna, I think we're set for the first month of her life (depending on when she is born) so that should give us a nice bubble of bonding time. :) Thanks Grandma Glo! I definitely feel ready for her to be in my arms. My Blessing Way is today at Jen's house and I am very much looking forward to being with my strong lady pals and having their blessings as I get closer to birth. I had Braxton-Hicks all night on the 21st and given that I went out of my way to have a mellow day, that was surprising (roaring camp train to Bear Mt., picnic, dinner at Cafe Cruz and then watched It's Complicated at home with my feet up). I did do Zumba the next morning, but kept it pretty mellow. By the time Cat came over at 11 to give me acupuncture, my contractions were every 7 mins (my eyebrows were beginning to raise at this point). I rested afterward, cuddled with Ry and then took a nap when he went to the store. He brought me some beautiful flowers and a piece of mousse cake from Gayle's, lit a candle and brought it to me on the couch and timed my contractions--every 2-3 mins and lasting 1 min! This continued for over an hour so he called Kate to let her know. She asked if there was any pain or other signs of labor (which there weren't) so she said to just drink plenty of water, eat and be instinctual. I chilled on the couch most of the day, kept having contractions, but they became less frequent...and obviously I didn't go into labor, but it sure was exciting! My birthday was quite eventful.
